FORMER CELTIC HERO Fraser Forster has been told by Mark Hughes he is surplus to requirements at Southampton and thy will look to offload him before the end of the window which closes in three days time.

Forster moved to St Mary’s from Celtic for over £12million four years ago and originally took the Premier League by storm. However, a serious injury which ruled the goalkeeper out for nearly a year would stop his progress.

Upon returning to the Southampton line up, the keeper has failed to recapture his early form and was dropped by the club in December last year.

Fraser Forster is now THIRD choice for the Premier League club and on a sizeable wage packet.

Hughes is desperate to offload him.
