The Glasgow Derby takes place on January 2nd and we now know who will be the man in the middle.

Bobby Madden.

The referee has been handed the reins on the biggest Glasgow Derby game in recent history. A win could signal a resurgence, a loss lost certainly means there will be no ten in a row.

The margins could be tight and Celtic fans won’t be overly inspired by Madden getting the game.

The best refereeing performances are the ones where you don’t notice them at all. Unfortunately, we don’t get many of them from Madden. He has made some major errors in this fixture, but such is Scottish football and the SFA, he gets the gig which is usually passed about the favourites.

Celtic have three games before they head to Govan. All must wins! With the Scottish cup in the books and Europe over for the bhoys, the league is the biggest and only real priority.
