Celtic have been linked with Burnley midfielder Robbie Brady in what could be the club’s second pre-contract deal ahead of the summer.

The former £13m buy [Transfermarkt] is out of contract in the summer and it’s being reported the Hoops are looking to bring him in and prize Brady away from his current side.

Sean Dyche has been giving an update on the player’s contract status with the Turf Moore club.

“The talks with all players are ongoing, no matter what level of contract they’ve got.” Dyche told SunSport.

“As soon as they’re a little bit into their contract we always keep tabs with their agents and the players to let them know.

“So that one will work itself out.

“It’s not always hard work, it’s just simple conversations that are open and then try and get the right outcome.

“We try and do what we can to make sure they’re happy and feel settled at the club and ready to play for the club.”

Brady can play left midfielder or left-back and could be seen as a good buy if the bhoys can land him for nothing.

However, if Burnley want to keep him, there’s no doubt the English club will have more money to offer the Irishman than Celtic are able to.

It would be down to preference at that point but given Brady is 29, it’s likely to be his last big contract and if you’re heading into the final third of your career, it might come down to cold hard cash. Something you can’t blame him for.
