BRENDAN RODGERS may have some good news with regards to his current defensive crises after seeing Boyata and Ajer join the long injury list at the weekend.
Longterm injured Anthony Ralston started for the developmental squad today in the SFA Youth Cup, playing his first game since September.
The youngster has been struggling with a meniscus problem and had undergone surgery to fix the problem last year.
His lengthy layoff came at a time when he was starting to establish himself as a viable option at right back.
Coming through the game today, he could be in contention for the Scottish Cup squad on Saturday against Thistle as Rodgers looks to settle on his starting XI for Zenit in 10 days time. Ralston has a great chance to cement his place with Lustig currently out through injury.
Ralston recently penned a four-year deal with the club, it’s great to see the young lad back and raring to go.
Here was the full squad for today’s developmental tie which ended 3-0 to Celtic.
