The full-back struggled for minutes under Postecoglou, and an exit from the club was a certainty. However, he may find himself back in Scotland soon, and Celtic will need to restart their hunt for a club willing to take the player.

Bolingoli was brought in by Lennon but ultimately spelt the end to his Parkhead career when he broke the Coronovirus restrictions by flying to Spain and failing to isolate or tell the club when he returned.

Formerly of Rapid Vienna, the player had some talent; he wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but seeing his career in Scotland end like this isn’t satisfying.

When Ange called on the player to start at the Tony Macaroni Arena earlier in the season, he didn’t have a bad game. With the shortage of quality in his position, he should’ve been able to push for the starting spot; something must be going on in the background.

Postecoglou revealed that every player had a fresh start when he arrived, so last season’s fiasco hasn’t influenced the current manager.
