Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu was on a noteworthy strand of form prior to the current international break. In the Hoops’ most recent match against Aberdeen last week, the South Korean internationalist came off the bench and bagged an impressive brace

Indeed former Hoops centre-forward is a big fan of Oh. He said (Daily Record): `’Meanwhile Oh has shown some real signs of potential at the club and you’d think he’d get more opportunities in the hectic run up to the winter shutdown. I like his attitude.

“He’s not had much game time this season but has kept working away and waiting for his chance. In recent weeks he has grabbed it. There’s still a lot of polish required but there’s definitely a player there – and there will have to be.”

In the Celtic attack, Oh offers a completely different dynamic to Kyogo. The 22-year-old enjoys the physical side of the game, which is only positive for the Hoops because their Japanese striker doesn’t like it too much.

When club football returns next weekend, Brendan Rodgers will have a dilemma over who to give the starting striker spot to. Having these choices to make, though, is only of benefit to the champions.
