Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has two extremely talented players on his hands in Kyogo Furuhashi and Matt O’Riley. Each has already bagged a number of goals this season, with O’Riley’s performances being of a top level.

The pair have chemistry which has been evident in the Champions League a few times this season. Such a relationship is one that is only positive for the Hoops, and gaffer Rodgers compared it to one that existed between two world-renowned players he managed at Liverpool.

Matt O'Riley

When asked about O’Riley and Kyogo’s connection, he said (Daily Record): “You make patterns on the training field and are guided by the intelligence of the players as well. It’s improvisation, game intelligence. It’s one thing doing it under no pressure but another seeing it in the game and making right decisions. The relationship between training and the game is important. I had Maddison and Vardy who were similar (to O’Riley and Kyogo). Coutinho with Sturridge or Suarez was similar too.”

Rodgers has managed several talented stars throughout the years. He has a number at Celtic at the moment and since he has returned to the club, he has proven to lead them rather effectively.
