RONNY DEILA has sent out a stark warning to his players. Shape up or ship out!

The new Celtic manager was less than impressed by some of the players during yesterdays 1-1 draw with Rapid Vienna. Although it is still very early in pre-season the players need to get sharp quick as the Champions League qualifier looms.

While he accepts that players can have an off day he did not mince his words when describing some of the lackadaisical performances.

“If you have a lack of intensity you are not going to be at a club like Celtic. It’s something that we need to change quickly.”  He said

The body language wasn’t good. I can accept not playing well but the most important thing has to be the attitude & that was lacking”

Ronny means business as he looks to mould the team before next weeks trip to Iceland.

We have no idea yet who will be in his starting XI for that game and it sounds like some of the players will have to convince the new boss quickly that they are up to the task.

Deila could be without his captain for the first qualifier after Scott Brown got injured during the pre-season friendly yesterday. Brown will now undergo a scan to see the extent of the damage.

It would be a big blow to Celtic if Broony were to miss the opener.
