Celtic recently secured their 53rd Scottish Premiership title as the Bhoys made it back-to-back league triumphs under Ange Postecoglou.
A 2-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle secured their status as champions once more although it has long been wondered how the Hoops would fair outside of Scotland.
The Premier League has long been mentioned as a league for Celtic to play their football in however a division that has rarely been spoken about is the Bundesliga.
An 18-team league, the German top flight is one of the highest-scoring leagues in Europe.
The Bundesliga plays host to some huge clubs and commentator and German football expert Derek Rae has said how he thinks the Bhoys would get on in Germany. Rae said on Twitter:
Always think these are difficult questions as if Celtic were actually in the Bundesliga, their budget & resources would be greater. As of now, probably touch & go for a European place at best. But that’s more a reflection on the greater strength of the Bundesliga. https://t.co/AYoJarDyEu

A European place may be slightly underwhelming although as Rae says, if the Bhoys were to continually play in the Bundesliga and thus get all the additives from it, they would prosper even further.
For now and in the foreseeable future, however, they will play in Scotland. This was only a hypothetical situation. Celtic’s potential could be unlocked by being exposed to the revenues enjoyed by many clubs in the perceived top five leagues.
We would struggle in this league. It’s very competitive and would be handed a few defeats, without doubt.
