RYAN JACK has admitted that his teammates’ eyes are focused on a cup double after his side failed to get three points in the most recent Glasgow Derby.

If Kyogo hadn’t got his late goal, The Rangers would be just six points behind Celtic, a gap that could quite quickly be chopped down. But nine points and 20 goals separate the sides; it’s going to take something remarkable for the Ibrox side to get anywhere near the top spot this season.

Ryan Jack has suggested that the Rangers dressing room knows this, shifting their attention to a cup double.

As Quoted by Clyde 1, Ryan Jack previewed the cup tie at the weekend and made a statement which suggests that they’ve conceded the league.

“That’s the aim for me and the team and the staff.

“Since the manager has come in, he’s said we want to go win both cups.

“Obviously with me being here for a number of years, I know the demands the fans put on us to go and win every trophy.

“The boys will be ready for next week and it’s a chance for us to get back to Hampden and another cup final.

“We’re expected to go and try to win every competition we’re in. The supporters demand it, the manager and the staff demand that from us.”

Celtic are on cup duty first this weekend, facing Kilmarnock in a 17.30 kick-off at Hampden. Aberdeen will travel down to play The Rangers on Sunday in an afternoon kick off before the final on Sunday, February 26, 2023.

Nobody at Celtic is doing any victory laps when it comes to the league. They know there’s a lot of football to be played, but the Ibrox club and their new manager aren’t giving off vibes they have the stomach for the fight.
