CELTIC FANS seemed unimpressed on social media with Sam Allardyce making comments about winning things in Scotland and that Steven Gerrard will topple Celtic.
The former Newcastle manager who was famously sacked as England boss for being caught taking a bribe doesn’t know how to keep a low profile and he’s had a go at the Scottish game.
“We can all go to Celtic and win trophies.” Allardyce told TalkSport as cited by RecordSport.
“It will be Rangers soon the way they are going under Steven Gerrard .
“Fans expect you to win trophies and if you don’t do that then you’d get the sack.
“I agree with what Brendan was saying and it was a great move for him because it built his reputation again.
“But I didn’t think there was anything wrong with him because he was brilliant at Liverpool, just a bad patch of recruitment cost him his job.”
Allardyce has won nothing of note during his managerial career and has hit out with some mad comments over the years. Social media is today holding him accountable for some of that nonsense.
Celtic fans are used to this sort of narrow minded chat from south of the border. The type of people who get some sort of joy over trying to kick Scottish football. Some of them can’t stand it when adulation comes our way and immediately look to try and bring the game down while they talk up the point in a Crystal Palace or Watford.
