Dominic McKay has bounced back after his Celtic departure by being named the interim president of the EPCR [European Rugby]. [Le Figaro]

The former Celtic chief exec spent just 73 days in his role before leaving the club under a cloud.

Dom was brought into see the restructuring and modernisation of the club but didn’t last very long.

Depending on who you speak to, you get different reasons why his tenure at the club was so short.

The board were never fully comfortable with the appointment and Dom had big plans I think some people in power didn’t quite fancy.

McKay is now back in the rugby game after his brief flirtation with football. It’s safe to say he knows much more about that world.

When we spoke to Dom personally during his time at Celtic, he came off as an honest and affable guy. We wish him all the best for the future.

Michael Nicholson is in interim charge of Celtic at the moment.
