DOM MCKAY has delivered the most welcome of Celtic statements this afternoon by confirming fans can come back to Celtic Park as of next Thursday!

The Dundee game will still be subject to Level 0 protocol and will have 24500 in attendance this Saturday.

After that, the club have got the go ahead to open the gates and get back to business after closing their doors to the masses in March 2020.

In what is sure to be an emotionally charged night at Celtic Park next week, the Jablonec game will go down as a momentous occasion for the Celtic support as they take their seats in Paradise once again.

Here’s what Dom told the Celtic website.

“I would like to thank our fans for all the fantastic support they have given us in reaching these levels. I would especially like to thank our staff for their tireless efforts and hard work in getting us to this stage.

“Our team have been a leading force in Scottish sport, writing and exercising protocols and procedures to allow us to return to train and play. Now, through their hard work and leadership, we are finally welcoming you, our fans, back where you belong. I must also thank the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council and the Safety Advisory Group for all their co-operation.”

Through the dark days of the past 18 months, we’ve sat at home and suffered as a society. Celtic fans watched their treble winning side falter like never before and come away with nothing in our absence. This is a huge step back for the club!

The website confirmed sales information around tickets for the Jablonec game will be forthcoming shortly. It suggests we will be charged for the game over and above our season tickets.
