John Kennedy confirmed there was a Celtic interest in bringing back Filip Benkovic to the club just on Saturday. The club must have found out shortly after that wasn’t going to happen.
On Saturday night, we got the word Filip was being pushed towards a move to Leicester’s sister club OH Leuven and on this Tuesday morning, that deal has been confirmed by the club’s social media channels.
Welkom, Filip Benkovic!🤩👏

Filip has not played a lot of football since leaving Celtic but when he’s fit and ready to go, there’s no doubting his ability.
For Celtic, they need defensive reinforcements like never before, shipping poor goals and the same one over and over again from set pieces. It’s cost the club so dearly this year.
The league looks over and done with at this point, there’s an argument now for waiting until the summer for a rebuild and just let this ridiculous season play out.
