TWO Celtic youngsters have been called up to represent Scotland under 21s in the European qualifiers against Andorra and Holland.

Ross Doohan, currently on-loan at Ayr United and Mikey Johnston will have the chance to make a difference for their country in the double header.

The Celtic goalkeeper recently signed a new four-year deal with the club before being sent out on-loan by manager Brendan Rodgers while Mike Johnstone is on the cusp of the Celtic first team – even starting in the League Cup versus Partick Thistle at the weekend.

Both players show tremendous potential and their inclusion into the national team validates their efforts to this point.

There are some exciting players in Scotland’s under 21 setup and they will be hopeful of getting results against Andorra and the Dutch.

The Scots currently sit third in their group with eight points. England sit atop their group with the Netherlands just underneath.

Two wins would catapult them into a great position to qualify.

We wish the young lads all the best.
