MailSport are running with comments from Eddie Howe’s representatives claiming talks of a Eddie Howe to Celtic being a done deal is ‘premature’.
The quote dropped on Wednesday night on Twitter.
Re: Eddie Howe’s move to Celtic. A representative for Howe said: ‘There has been significant interest in Eddie from a number of clubs. However, talks of any deal being close are extremely premature. His plan remains to not return to management until the summer at the earliest.’

This is not what Celtic fans want to hear. Especially when the buzz around the Scottish media is the manager is close to being named the Celtic boss.
There was a feel good factor over the Easter weekend after news broke of Howe’s potential arrival and the way things were being spun it was looking like Celtic had managed to stave of interest from other parties.
These comments this evening claiming to be from Howe’s reps is a blow.
Celtic fans want to know what the immediate future holds and while most will accept an Eddie Howe appointment to start in the summer, the fact nothing appears to be over the line has everyone on edge.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this. Hopefully, it’s not a sign of things to come and this Merely confirms he won’t be taking over until the summer.
