BRENTFORD have introduced an initiative that encourages season ticket holders to attend matches rather than leave their seats empty.
It’s become a problem at Celtic, especially since Ange Postecoglou arrived in Glasgow, that, although matches are labelled as ‘sold out’, there are many seats visible around the stadium, with STHs not turning up for their own reasons.

Brentford plans to give fans four strikes, and then they’re out, with every game when a season ticket is not scanned resulting in a yellow card. After four yellow cards, the STH is ineligible to renew their ST.
There are some flaws in the system, though, for example, illness, working away from home or simply having other plans that mean a STH can’t attend a match. So, this should go hand in hand with the ticket exchange system, and if the ticket is listed on the site, the STH does not acquire a strike, and someone else can use the ticket for the day.
It’s an idea that would be interesting for the club to explore and look to implement. it has the potential to be really beneficial, especially for fans who are not season ticket holders.
CeltsAreHere understands the club is still looking at a ticket exchange system that would kick in for any given game that was marked as sold out.
There are several things to be worked on.
thats an absolutely ludicrous idea. penalising fans who have the audacity to have jobs that interfere with celtics schedule.
the huns have been doing the exchange thing for years. were way behind them on that one.
Need to look at away matches ticket allocation and implement a fair system that ends the closed shop.
Many of STH have held one for several years but are not allowed to even apply for away tickets.
Meanwhile the usual suspects seem to have an away ticket for life & respond by singing the tired old IRA rubbish & setting off flares & smoke bombs instead of supporting our excellent team
