It has emerged that another Celtic player is being sought after this summer but thankfully it’s not a first-team star.

According to in the know journo, Alan Nixon, English side Accrington Stanley want to sign Celtic’s third-choice keeper Conor Hazard this summer.

Hazard played a part in Celtic’s pre-season, mostly down to the fact Celtic were still waiting to bring a goalkeeper at the time. Now, Vasilis Barkas is set to become number one, with Scott Bain becoming back-up.

While Hazard is unlikely to play for Celtic this term, the club can’t sell or get rid of a third-choice goalkeeper unless they have designs of bringing in another young stopper.

It will be interesting to see how this one pans out. Hazard has gone out on loan several times but it doesn’t look like he has a future at Celtic. The player might be best served to leave the club if he’s allowed to before the window closes.
