CELTIC take on Kilmarnock at Rugby Park this Sunday afternoon on matchday two of the SPFL. The bhoys picked up maximum points in matchday one against Hamilton, getting five goals on the board in the process.

It’s a different type of game away to Killie with the synthetic pitch always being the biggest talking point going into the game. We expect Tom Rogic not to be risked on the surface today as he tentatively returns from injury.

We also expect a Celtic debut this afternoon with Vasilis Barkas getting the nod to begin his Celtic career. During the week, we’ve seen the big goalkeeper being trained on the artificial surface at Lennoxtown in preparation for today’s game.

Elsewhere, Griffiths is out with a calf injury as reported by Neil Lennon during his CelticTV pre-match press conference. The striker upped his fitness game in July and August but that has come at a price with niggling injuries preventing him from getting into the squad.

Last weeks starting XI looks like a strong bet to start this match also, minus Scott Bain, although there’s a question mark over Greg Taylor.

Celtic know what’s at stake this season, they must continue to rack up the points and lay down a marker.
