Potential Managerial candidate, Enzo Maresca has refused to confirm or deny his interest in the Celtic job, with his name being mentioned as a possible dark horse in the hat for the job.
As reported by the Sunday Post, there has been some suggestion that Maresca could be brought to the club alongside supposed Director of Football target Fergal Harkin with both currently working at English Premier League side Manchester City.
Currently, the Italian is in charge of the Man City development squad that is filled with riches of talent from across the globe. He has also previously had roles alongside Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham as his assistant and Spanish side Sevilla, in the same role.
This sort of appointment would look like an exciting project but at the same time one that some Celtic fans may not be sure about with the potential risk of offering the 41-year old a chance to take over.
For now, the suggestion was just rumours but it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise to see it happen in all honestly due to the club’s close connection with Manchester City and also added with the fact our now Director of football could be coming from the same club.
This isn’t the first and it certainly won’t be the last name to be talked about for the job, with months of speculation to come.
