Neil Lennon had names a much changed side with a debut for young Jeremie Frimpong and a first start for Tom Rogic this season.
The bhoys lead 1-0 in the League Cup quarter final. They have dominated most of the first half but let Partick Thistle back into the game as the half drew to a close. Gordon called into action to deny Thistle an equaliser.
There will likely be changes in the second half and Neil Lennon will want to see this game out to bed so he can rest Callum McGregor for Saturday against Hibs.
