Albian Ajeti’s name has been on Celtic fans radar for over two weeks. The striker took some time out to figure out his next career move once the English Premier League had ended.

Many supporters were exacerbated the player didn’t jump at the chance to come in and sign for Celtic straight away but after the West Ham it was imperative the player chose his next move wisely.

Ajeti is coming in on a permanent or loan deal depending on what report you listen to but he does appear to be close to signing for the club.

It has emerged overnight, the Swiss striker was given the opportunity to sign for Championship side Brentford over the last couple of days, however, the Guardian have reported Ajeti snubbed the deal to make the move to Celtic happen.

Brentford missed out on promotion and had also been rivalling Celtic for Ivan Toney this summer. Celtic have won the race to sign the goal scorer, an announcement is expected today.
