CELTIC would not have to pay anything this summer if they were to finally make a move for Jordon Ibe. The Bournemouth player was signed by the club for a record breaking £16 from Liverpool back in 2016.

The move hasn’t worked out for either party with Ibe only playing two games this season for the Premier League outfit.

Sky Sports report the player’s contract will not be renewed when it comes to an end in July – even if the season goes into overtime.

The 24-year-old winger was linked with a move to Celtic at the start of this season when SunSport reported the club were closing in on a deal for the player.

Nothing came of it, but now the midfielder will be available on a free, it could be the best time to go in and get Jordon.

The player will have a point to prove and a career to rehabilitate. It fits Celtic’s model and if you got three top seasons out of Jordon, he could again go for big money.
