The goalkeeper who is held in high regard within Scottish football has made it on to a list of names Celtic are looking at as Craig Gordon’s long term replacement also with Lukasz Zaluska likely to move on this summer they may need a new number 2.

Paul Hartley thinks Scott Bain can each the levels Craig Gordon has in the game.

Craig was 19 or 20 when he first came on the scene and, in terms of keepers I’ve worked with, there is a comparison to be made.

“Craig was exactly the same as Scott – calm and not likely to get fazed by anything. And obviously he was a top goalkeeper.”

Although the player has signed a new deal it is though this wouldn’t deter Celtic for making a move for the Edinburgh born 23 year old.

Celtic have started to look at next season already with early qualifiers likely to come in their quest for Champions League football. Ronny Deila wants his new players bedded in as soon as possible to avoid last years heartache.
