Former Celtic and current Aberdeen player Barry Robson says his team are not giving up on chasing down Celtic for the title even though they fell further adrift of the top spot this week.

Barry who won the league with Celtic as a player has rallied round his Aberdeen teammates to make Celtic’s life uncomfortable in the run in.

“We are still up there competing to get first place and we will not give up. It is a belief which has to be ingrained in this football club. We were disappointed to be knocked out of the cup competitions when we feel we should be in them and we want to win every game.” said the Aberdeen player.

Celtic now sit top of the league on 72 points, 7 ahead of Aberdeen with Celtic still to play their game in hand which could stretch the gap to 10 points.

Aberdeen have shown guts this season but it looks like there season will end with a whimper at present. Tiredness catching up with them as they tried to chase down the Champions.
