Former Celtic academy star Liam Morrison is on the bench for Bayern Munich this afternoon. The 20-year-old sharing a bench with the likes of Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane.
The defender left Celtic around three years ago when Bayern came calling. There was an uproar at the time but Bayern presented Liam with an opportunity to pave away towards the first team.
In comparison, Celtic’s youth system was sporadic and lacked any sort of guidance for any youngster coming through. It made the move a no brainer for Morrison who has been developing in the famous Bayern academy.
Celtic have lost quite a few of their top young stars over the piece. Academies like Man City and Liverpool have been managing to sell them on a move away from Scotland. The bhoys are getting better at promoting their young talent and offering them chances. Ange has made sure top young talent know they’re being valued and given time to develop.
Liam has shown so far that his move has paid off. They clearly value him highly at Bayern.
