Former Celtic defender Steven Pressley is back in football taking up a role with promotion chasing Brentford as reported by Training Ground Guru.

The former Gordon Strachan signing will be the head of individual development at the club – a role that will see him work with young players at the club.

It’s interesting to hear the title of the roles given out at other clubs.

Celtic are currently restructuring in a bid to see better results and more accountability behind the scenes.

The Director of Football role at the club is going to be a major position. However, don’t be shocked if Celtic have a new fangled name for the role other than DoF.

Pressley spent a short time at Celtic and was a bit of a stop gap signing. He did ok during his spell with the club but because of his Hearts background, fans never really took to the big man.

He was a very good professional and it’s probably why Gordon Strachan signed him when the defender left Hearts,
