Former Celtic striker Anthony Stokes is gearing up for a Parkhead return with his new club Livingston. The Irishman has hot-footed it around the world since leaving Scottish football but he’s found himself back in the SPFL.

Stokes played for Hibernian last time out for Neil Lennon – the pair fell out during their time at Easter Road together and Anthony was released from his contract.

It will be interesting to see Stokes back at Celtic Park wearing Livingston colours.

His best spell at the club came with Gary Hooper, when the duo formed a formidable partnership. He was never prolific but he played his part and can even lay claim to helping Celtic along in this ten in a row run.

The player has always had his off-field difficulties but he’s looking to put everything behind him with his fresh start at Livingston. We hope he isn’t on his game when Livi come to town on the 19th.
