Former Celtic winger, Davie Provan, has turned into Celtic’s scout stating that he believes the hoops should make a move for Kevin Nisbet.

Speaking to Go Radio, Provan said;

“I said last summer Celtic should have signed Kevin Nisbet.

“I know his form has shaded but I think he is back to his best now.

“He looks a proper player, and what would you have to pay to Hibs, £3million?

“That’s a no-brainer. At his age you are going to get your money back.” [Daily Record]

Kevin Nisbet has been linked to Celtic quite heavily over the past few transfer windows, the rumors surrounding his future in the capital do not seem to be coming to halt anytime soon.

However, his form has faded this season after netting just three goals in the league thus far. Last season, the Scotland international finished joint second in the scoring charts with fourteen goals.

It will be interesting to see if Celtic does make a move for Kevin Nisbet, although I do doubt it. Ange knows players from Japan and is keen to bring them to the club. The rumors will not stop now and I would expect links between the two parties to continue throighput the January transfer window.
