Former Celtic keeper and BBC pundit Packie Bonner believes a rebuild could be ahead with several names being cleared out after the clubs 1-0 loss to Rangers yesterday which saw us fall 19 points behind in the league.

Bonner, who was speaking on BBC Radio Scotland thinks that the club now needs to look towards the future and make the changes that are required to take us forward.

“Celtic need to look to the future and they need to make a lot of changes.

“They may have to look very closely at the management and there are some players they have to move out quickly – some that have been brought in not too long ago.”

With what the Irishman is saying, it is probably how the large majority of Celtic fans feel at this stage.

We are currently 19 points behind in the league and have a mountain to climb in order to claw that back. But no matter if we believe we can do that or not a massive rebuild is needed now, to prepare for the future.

The summer is a daunting thought right now, with many key players likely to move on we could be in for a rough time.

So why not give ourselves the head start and prepare now, to try and get the best possible chance at a proper rebuild which is so clearly needed from the top to the bottom of the club.
