Celtic fell to perhaps their worst result of the SPFL season so far when they were beaten by Kilmarnock on Sunday.

Celtic’s lack of creativity, spark and generally fluency that they were synonymous with not so long ago is a major concern for the Celtic manager.

But one of Celtic’s former players and a man that spent a season working under Brendan Rodgers (not playing), Kris Commons believes that there is something more at work here than just a disastrous dip in form.

Speaking after the game, the former Celtic top goal scorer was damning if the team’s woeful ‘pedestrian’ performance and is of the opinion there’s something not quite right in the dressing room.

“Things aren’t right in that dressing room at the minute.” Commons told Sky Sports.

”The side-ways passing is very pedestrian, it’s very slow, there’s no-one in there that’s got any sort of confidence”

“Teams are starting to wise up to how Celtic play. And because they’re low in confidence, and they’re not playing at a real tempo that they’re used to doing, teams are very, very comfortable. Kilmarnock were comfortable today.”
Is Commons speaking out of turn or does he know something we don’t?
It’s no secret Celtic have not had their problems to seek in the recruitment process but are the players unhappy with anything that has went down in the past two months?
Has the Boyata and Dembele episodes rocked the boat?

  1. Yesterdays performance was bad. This season we have barely got going. These are facts. Whether or not there is something wrong within the dressing toom remains to be seen but I believe that if anyone would have an insight then it would be Kris Commons. And why can’t he call it as he sees it? The slick passing game is good when ot works but it didn’t yesterday and we are so short of options to change a game its scary. Certain players need to look at themselves and ask if they are up for the fight. If they’re not then they should step aside for those that want it.

  2. Commons may have something,?but the transfer window has certainly put a spanner in the works, if so, why, players wanting away will cause disharmony, boyata in particular, caused initially by his agent, he seem to have settled down, but, has he,?is this causing problems ,especially with the French players now that dembele got his move, sure how we handled that was a bloody joke!,good team performances don’t stop overnight, and if the truth be told, they were, that’s how we won what we did,!!!!!I believe we will recover, this will show who has the guts and fight to stand up an be counted, BR in particular, will show the way, convinced in that, prob is are the players or some of them at least ready to follow, only time will tell.hh.
