Former STV man and current communication officer at Motherwell is taking a lot of stick for his comments about David Turnbull just five days ago when it was reported he had told people close to him he wanted to join Celtic.
Grant Russell took the strange and unnecessary step of quashing this rumour at the time and many Celtic fans are making sure he remembers the rant after Motherwell accepted a bid from the Scottish Champions.
To be fair to Grant, he was simply trying to dispel the rumour the midfielder was walking about telling people he wants to sign for Celtic. However, the Celtic fans are having fun with it.
Turnbull looks set to become Celtic’s first summer signing and the first under Neil Lennon since his return to the hot seat. The bhoys are due back at Lennoxtown on Monday, there’s every chance David could be among the players training if they can sort out the deal before the weekend.
