Fans were sure Tom had a plan as soon as he left Celtic to come straight back into the game. But it became clear over a number of weeks then months, Tom was taking his time back in Australia as he mulled over his next move.

Today, journalist John Percy has revealed the midfielder is close to signing for Championship club West Brom.

West Brom are toiling after ten games in the Championship and are looking for some creative flair. The manager Steve Bruce must see Tom as the ideal free agent to come in and give his squad a boost.

Celtic fans will believe Tom is much better than a Championship side, but if the offers aren’t there, the Australian will be looking to help fire the club back into the EPL.
