Ange has been very cagey when it comes to his injured players. He doesn’t want to build up expectations of premature returns only for them not to come to fruition.

He’s been keen to stress Kyogo would likely be back after the international break, but during his Wednesday press conference before the Bayer Leverkusen game – the coach admitted there’s a chance Kyogo could feature on Sunday against Aberdeen.

Alison Conroy who attended the presser took to social media to confirm what Ange had said.

Giakoumakis and Callum McGregor could also see game time before the international break.

Many see Kyogo as Celtic’s ace in the hole. Someone who can get things moving up front and really galvanise the team. Something he was doing before he picked up an injury away with Japan.

If we can get the striker fit and back in his best position, it should really help the team and the way Ange wants to play.

Cal Mac is our engine and to have him back for Sunday against Aberdeen to go toe to toe with Scott Brown would be welcomed.
