CELTIC will be at home for the the quarter finals of the League Cup and to add a little extra spice to the game it will be. Glasgow Derby which will see former Celtic defender Gary Caldwell make his Celtic Park return.

Celtic seen Dunfermline off on Saturday in an uninspired display but they done enough in extra time to get the win.

The victory put them in the draw for the final eight where they could have faced The Rangers, Hearts, Kilmarnock among others.

Thistle may be one of the weaker teams left in the competition – they will fancy their chances of trying to shock the League Cup holders.

Caldwell was once a centre back pairing with current Celtic coach Stephen NcManus and teammate of current Celtic boss Neil Lennon. When Thistle make the short trip across the city, there will be no friends during the tie, that’s for sure.

Quarter-final ties are due to be played in the midweek of September 24-26 and are subject to TV selections.
