The title race at the top of the SWPL is as tight as can be. Celtic Women take on Rangers this Sunday as they aim to cut the gap to a solitary point.

The Excelsior Stadium will host the St. Patrick’s Day clash, but it has now been announced that two of the Ghirls’ upcoming games will take place at Celtic Park.

The first will be on Sunday the 21st of April against Hibs with a 4.10 pm kick-off in place. For this game, the club will provide free entry to those who purchased a ticket for last month’s Glasgow derby at Ibrox where away fans were denied entry late in the day.

Celtic Women

The second of the two Women’s games at Paradise will take place on the final day of the SWPL season against Hibs on Sunday the 19th of May.

Last campaign, a side managed by Fran Alonso narrowly missed out on the title in the last match of the season at Parkhead, but Elena Sadiku, who was appointed new boss in January, will be hoping those fortunes can change this year.

She has the side sitting in second, four points behind Rangers. A derby win this weekend, though, could see the gap cut to a point ahead of a pivotal title run-in that now includes two games at Celtic Park over the next two months.
