FORMER Celtic manager Gordon Strachan believes the fans aren’t practicing what they preach, or sing as it were as they push for managerial change.

Gordon brought Lenny back as a coach during his tenure at the club which set the Irishman in a trajectory to become first team manager after an ill-fated Tony Mowbray spell.

Now, with Neil Lennon’s job being called into question constantly and the protests out Celtic Park after another embarrassing defeat, the former boss says Neil’s friends have talked round him in the last few days.

Speaking to Football Pass, Strachan said:

“60,000 people sing: ‘you’ll never walk alone.’

“But at this moment in time there are a few hundred people making Neil Lennon feel like he is walking alone.

“But over the last couple of days he’s realised he’s not walking alone.

“His friends have gathered together to make sure he understands he doesn’t walk alone.

“The Celtic fans who all understand what’s going on will make sure he understands that as well.”

Celtic are really up against it this season. Out of Europe already, out of the league cup and eleven points behind in the league. The performances have been severely below-par all season and we look incapable of getting back into a groove.

If SPFL results don’t improve, Neil Lennon will have no place to hide.
