Peter Grant will not be joining a new setup at Celtic after taking the Dunfermline job this morning.
The former hoops player and coach was tipped to come in with Eddie Howe in a new Celtic regime. However, the man who was recently sacked by Alloa had found himself managing Dunfermline after a successful interview process.
There were sceptics of Grant coming back to Celtic in the first place and while it was talked about, it hasn’t got off the ground.
Grant was a coach to Tony Mowbray during the last rebuild. The manager and coaching team wouldn’t even last the season before being replaced by then rookie boss Neil Lennon.
We wish Grant all the success at Dunfermline and hope that Celtic will be giving us our own managerial announcement shortly!
#DAFC are delighted to announce the immediate appointment of Peter Grant as our new First Team Manager.

There’s no need for Celtic minded people in the coaching setup. Unless they’re qualified for the role, Eddie and Celtic must have the best men in charge.
Well , that’s a relief
