GREG TAYLOR is expected to become a Celtic player in the next 48-hours with the Scottish Champions close to agreeing a deal.

The clubs have been back and forth all week with Angelo Alessio admitting Celtic had made an official approach. Neil Lennon also confirms Taylor was an option on Friday.

On Saturday evening the news broke the two clubs were close to an agreement and according to SunSport it’s almost there.

It’s unclear at this point how much Celtic are going to be paying for Taylor but the Rugby Park club wanted around £3m for their star defender.

Greg missed Kilmarnock’s 1-0 win over St Johnstone on Saturday with his future looking very much elsewhere. The transfer window closes tomorrow evening, so once the deal is set expect a quick announcement which could come today. Celtic announced Fraser Forster during the AIK game. Will they do the same during the Glasgow Derby?
