It’s been over three years since Brendan Rodgers left Celtic and now he is left facing a situation which he knows all too well.

Although Rodgers departed Celtic a long while ago now, time is yet to be too great a healer for the former Hoops boss who left the Hoops in February 2019 before a vital league game at Tynecastle.

It would be more than fair to say that the Irishman still splits opinion massively amongst the Celtic support with everything that has gone on at the club since his departure.

He is still connected with the Hoops in some ways with Ange Postecoglou revealing that he is in regular contact with the former Celtic boss who returned to Celtic Park for the first time in January this year to take in the 1-0 victory over Dundee United.

The departure of Rodgers from Celtic has been well documented but it now appears that the Leicester boss is once again put in a position he’d rather not be in.

At present, Leicester City are the only side in the top five European leagues yet to sign a player this summer with there being a lot of transfer speculation around midfielder James Maddison.

He admitted on Friday before the premier league season kicked off that his hands are currently tied which many Celtic fans know to not end well when Rodgers is concerned.

His side surrendered a 2-0 lead yesterday at home to Brentford and things may just begin to get worse for the 49-year old who might well be facing deja vu.
