SEAD HAKSABANOVIC is missing from Celtic’s matchday squad in the capital, with Maeda in from the start and Jota on the bench.
Ange Postecoglou confirmed the winger’s absence was due to injury, stating he had picked up a foot injury after the weekend’s match and is unavailable for the last game of the year. [BBC Sportsound]
Naturally, you’d assume that Jota would take his place on the left wing, but Maeda is in from the start after the Portughese winger was ill; however, he’s still on the bench.
It’s a blow for the Celtic winger. Before the international break, he got into some great form and was looking great. But he missed the first game back and could be set to miss a few more after Hibs.
In the squad is Oliver Abildgaard, despite talk of Celtic looking to cut his stay at the club, yet to make a start. It’s the first time being on the bench since the World Cup.
