Over the past few weeks, there has been many an argument over the ticket allocation for this weekend’s Scottish League Cup tie against Hibernian at Hampden Park.
The Edinburgh side failed to sell a significant allocation for their semi-final trip to the National Stadium, which saw them defeat Glasgow rivals Rangers 3-1 to secure a place in the final of the competition.
Naturally, the Celtic support was handed a slightly larger allocation of the stadium, due to the huge crowd that was guaranteed to sell out several stands at Hampden.
However, the argument rumbled on from the Easter Road side, with complaints surrounding their allocation continuing. So, the Hibs support were handed an extra allocation of tickets in the upper tier.
Those tickets remain on sale, with a chunk still to be sold with less than a week till the cup final showdown between the two sides this coming Sunday.
Not even remotely surprised that @HibernianFC havnt been able to sell out their allocation for Final yet while Celtic fans who go most weeks will miss out, disgraceful from @spfl Be as many Celtic fans in the Hibs end as there will be Hibs fans ? pic.twitter.com/aYeN6bo70j

Ultimately, some of the Celtic support will miss out on this weekend cup final, despite going to previous rounds of the competition, including the previous trip to Hampden last month.
So, this shows why on this occasion, a 50/50 split might not have been the best idea, given that Hibs looked to have struggled at this point in time to sell out.
It will certainly be interesting to see how that looks come Sunday.
