CELTIC have wished three of their stars a Happy Birthday this morning on social media, but the one which will be of most interest to Celtic fans is Karamoko Dembele has turned 16 and is now eligible to play for both the Reserve team and the First team!
Karamoko’s professional Celtic deal kicked in at midnight after signing a pre-contract with the club back in December. The attacking midfielder will now be available to play at a higher level which will most likely mean the developmental squad and perhaps a first-team appearance before the end of the season.
Dembele has a big future in the game if he keeps working as hard as he currently is. The youngster managed to play a game for the developmental squad in the cup last year because there was no restriction on an under 16 playing in the competition – he scored within 15 minutes!
