It appears some news sites are late to the party on the Harry Wilson to Celtic chat. We let you know this morning that SunSport had buried an Easter egg in the Robert Snodgrass story, appearing to suggest Celtic had asked Liverpool about Wilson.

They weren’t confident at all to give it a lead story on their site and haven’t said much since. In the past hour or so, several Celtic sites and a very popular Anfield site has now picked up on the story.

From what we have gathered, Harry Wilson was due to sign for Burnley for over £15m, but the deal fell through.

What’s more, Liverpool aren’t keen on loaning out their players and want a permanent solution for Wilson.

As reported by Atheltic journalist James Pearce:

This would completely take Celtic out of any running for the winger but could suggest the club are still active in the market trying to find cover for an injured James Forrest.
