Celtic scored 14 seconds after Hibs took the lead on Sunday with what has to be one of the quickest replies to a goal conceded we’ve seen.
Hibs fans were still celebrating taking the lead when Celtic and Kyogo put the ball in the back of the net.
It really was the turning point in the game. We never allowed Hibs to settle into a lead. Had we not scored, the Edinburgh club would have dug their heels in attempting to stifle Celtic out of the cup final.
The quick reply was no accident. It was 100% an Ange Postecoglou goal.
After the game, a video surfaced of Ryan McGowan talking about Ange as the Australia manager. How the Socceroos had won a particular game but Ange went berserk because his team passed it back among themselves from kick off after conceding a goal.
The manager spent nearly half an hour telling his players to get the ball forward after conceding a goal. Ange very much subscribing to the philosophy a team is most vulnerable after scoring.
It certainly worked on Sunday!
