FORMER Celtic Striker Anthony Stokes has banned himself from social media after admitting he needs some time away from the online world.
The frontman who now plays for Tractor Sazi in Iran has been enjoying his football since quitting Europe and heading out for a rather unlikely adventure.
The Irishman has bagged nine goals in eight appearances for his new club but the move has not been without sacrifices.
If you keep up to date with the striker’s social media, you will know he always tries to get home as much as possible to see his family since making the move.
Since moving to Iran the player has been very active on social media but admits it’s frying his head and he needs a break.
Stokes left Celtic back in 2016 and is a bit of an underrated Celtic player.
During his time he scored 76 goals and had 66 assists in 192 appearances for the bhoys.
Anthony has sometimes courted controversy throughout his career and was famously sacked by Hibernian under former Celtic boss Neil Lennon after a bust-up between the pair.
Great to see the striker is enjoying his football and has chosen to quit the social media rat race to focus himself.
