Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis earned his Hoops on Sunday against Dundee when the striker bagged a hat-trick and all three points for the bhoys to put them three points clear at the top.

Last season’s Erividise top goalscorer had a very slow and frustrating start to his Celtic career which included a few niggling injuries and a last-minute penalty miss.

Some fans had already begun to write off the big man in recent times before he burst into life against The Dees.

We made the point on this site and our socials over the last month, Giakoumakis has been doing well for the team, even when not scoring. His movement and ability to drag defenders has been opening the door for our wingers and midfielders to get among the goals.

After the game on Sunday night, the big man celebrated by heading to the West End and enjoying a meal at an Italian restaurant. Sapped with the owner on their social media page.

A low key celebration for the striker who knows there are lots more games to come this season.
