The Ibrox club sent out a petulant statement on Tuesday evening after Jon Flanagan was cited for elbowing Scott Brown in the face on Sunday at Ibrox.

The club got away with one on the day and because Kevin Clancy deemed it only a yellow at the time, Jon seen out the rest of the game on the field.

Had the referee seen the footage which the SFA have now seen then it would have been a straight red and up the tunnel for the defender.

The Ibrox statement basically moaned about retrospective action being taken on their players. Yes, they’re moaning their lads done rightfully get sent off during games.

They also tried to bring Jozo Simunovic into proceedings and have been blown out of the water after Football Scotland confirmed an incident between Jermain Defoe and Jozo was looked at and deemed not worthy of any more attention.

‘Football Scotland understands the SFA three-man panel of former referees could not unanimously agree that the incident constituted a red card offence.’

They are trying to make enough noise to try and get their defender off this charge which is pretty cut and dry

  1. When it comes to underhand antics and dodgeing any rule or law that don’t suit the brethren this outfit are past masters until someone somewhere come down on them for their attitude and arrogance toward the normal rules that apply to every club this charade will destroy any semblance of rules or authority in our game.
