Yosuke Ideguchi didn’t make a move on deadline day, but there’s still talks going on behind the scenes to move the midfielder out on loan shortly.
RecordSport report Gamba Osaka are interested in bringing the player back to Japan.
Despite the European transfer window closing on Tuesday evening, the Hoops know they can still offload the player to the J-League. The Japan transfer window closes at the end of March and they’re able to dip into the European market until then.
Ideguchi will not be getting any sort of game time at Celtic between now and the end of the season. The best thing for him to do is move away and get some game time. A loan deal with an option to buy would suit all parties.
The midfielder came in during January 2022 alongside Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda. Those two players have proven their worth while Ideguchi has struggled to make an impact. There are so many midfielders ahead of him at this point — the writing is on the wall.
