CHRIS SUTTON revealed he is gutted that Ange Postecoglou is leaving Celtic two years into his stay in Glasgow, but the former Celtic striker understands the urge to manage in the EPL.

Chris and the rest of the Celtic support were hoping that Ange would shrug off a flirtation with the EPL this time around and get ready for a big season with Celtic in the Champions League.

Instead, the Australian has chosen to drop the mic after winning a treble for the Hoops.

From a man who was joked about coming into Celtic, he leaves with five domestic trophies out of six and he’s off to a top six club in England.

Chris wished Ange well as the news starts to trickle out that the deal is all but done.

Celtic fans know themselves that the club can’t afford to dwell on Ange’s exit and the board must now be deep into talks with potential replacements for Ange.

He’s left Celtic in a great place and with Champions League football ahead, Celtic are an attractive prospect.

  1. He’s left us for a club who are, in trophy terms, the English equivalent of Motherwell. Then again, Tottenham is less a football club and more a venture capital fund; they’ll continue to fall short and make their owners $150m a year who’ll sack Ange with a £15m pay-off come April as the players decide they don’t like being shouted at and demand his removal. The fact they sacked Mourinho a week before a cup final shows how interested they are in winning actual, tangible trophies.

He could’ve been a legend but he chose the weasel words about Tommy Burns and the cash on offer from the Abu Dhabi Wealth Fund (Football Division) Sports and Money Laundering Associates late-stage capitalist Superteamship.

    Celtic move on.
